My Pittsburgh Happy Place

As self-renowned Pittsburgh experts, we think we know it all. But the truth is, there are so many spots all over the Burgh that we just don’t have time to see them all. That’s why we asked fellow bloggers and influential Yinzers that we admire to give us their favorite places to chill, eat, drink, shop or just get inspired. We’re giving you an inside look inside these experts favorite hang outs!

Liz is a blogger, devoted lover of fashion & the coolest mom we know. She hits you with funk & wit & killer outfits. And who doesn’t love to follow a woman that’s hair is a different color every time you refresh her page? Liz gave us the low-down on her favorite spot to do…well, almost everything: the Ace Hotel.

Why it’s her fave..
  1. Their latte keeps me fueled and creatively inspired.
  2. The Whitfield has my favorite brunch item in the city, aptly named The Whitfield Breakfast.
  3. The drinks at the bar are always amazing
  4. The servers, baristas, and bartenders are wonderful; they’re all very
unique individuals that make you feel like you are at home.
  5. Every week there is a fun event being held either in the gym or bar area with incredible entertainment from Pittsburgh’s local artists, DJ’s, musicians, performers, etc.
  6. You can go there and work or chill for hours and never want to leave!

Tori Mistick of ‘Wear Wag Repeat’

Tori is an expert on all things fashion, DIY & Dog. That’s right, this dog mom shows you how to be stylish with your pup in the Steel City. Her wildly successful blog blossomed into a youtube channel and podcast, so you can see her and her pup Lucy on all platforms! She let us in on her favorite place for sweet hangs, Grist House Brewery!

Why it’s her fave…
  1. Every time we go there, it’s a fun night!
  2. There are usually quite a few dogs there, so it’s also a great place to visit if you’re dog obsessed but don’t have your own fur baby.
  3. There are plenty of big water bowls and a water dispenser outside, and you’re allowed to take your dog inside so you can actually go in and order a drink without having to tie your dog up unattended. It’s the little things like that that separate “dog friendly” from “dog lovers.”

I love spending time with my lab, Lucy, so I’m always looking for dog friendly local businesses where we can hang out together with friends.

Morgan is a blogger, dedicated yinzer, DIY-er & Wellness influencer. She uses her reach to empower others to be the best version of themselves. She’s a big Pirates fan, and that’s why we weren’t surprised to hear her favorite Pittsburgh destination is PNC Park.

Why it’s her fave..
  1. All around great atmosphere.
  2. Walking over the Clemente bridge in a sea of people decked out in Pirates gear.
  3. The Clemente bridge is a perfect place to snap pics too, especially when it’s decorated with bright colored blooms!

There are few things that put a smile on my face more than walking in to take my seat at a Bucco game and taking in the view of our gorgeous city.
