Best Game Day Spots in the Burgh

It’s the first Steeler Sunday of the season folks! That means you’re willing to get out of your couch and slippers comfort zone to watch the Steeler game. Thankfully, we’ve got you covered if you’re looking to make a day of it. Here are the best spots to kick back with a beer on this yinzer-only holiday!

The Wheelhouse at Rivers Casino

My best kept secret…until now. The Wheelhouse restaurant has the largest television in Pittsburgh nestled all the way in the back. You can also reserve a private booth for a little extra money with your own viewing screens. Bonus, you get a beautiful view of your city while you’re at it.

Buckhead Saloon

Check out this western themed spot for your ultimate game day party. There’s usually no cover charge before 9 pm, so get there early and grab a seat! On Sundays they offer $3 Domestic 16 oz drafts and $5 32 oz Miller Lite personal pitchers all day.

Tavern 51

If you’re looking for a little bit less of a rowdy crowd, check out this unassuming bar. Top shelf vodka, great beer and awesome steaks!

Primanti Brothers

Are you surprised this made the list? A Pittsburgh staple is sure to have Steeler fans packed to the brim. During all NFL games, get Bud Light 16oz pounder cans for just $1.50!

Bigham Tavern

This Mt. Washington tavern has tons of flat screens to make sure you won’t miss a single touchdown. They have a great staff and delicious wings, what more can you ask for?

Carson City Saloon

We love a good saloon if you couldn’t tell. This Southside bar is a popular spot to bring your friends along for a viewing party. You can also bar hop afterwards along Carson Street if we win a big game (knock on wood). On Sundays enjoy $2.50 Coors Light bottles all day and 5 for $11 Coors Light buckets.

Tequila Cowboy

We agree, this joint can be a little overwhelming. If you’re not into the body-to-body atmosphere of a Friday night, check out this new North Shore destination on a game day. There are plenty of TV’s and each room has a fun theme with difference music. Plus, they always have specials on game day!

Sidelines

You can tell by the name and the Pittsburgh sports murals on the walls that this is the place to be for a die-hard fan. Located on Evergreen Road in Millvale, you won’t be disappointed when you dedicate your Sunday to this one. Some of the best wings including Peanut Butter and Jelly flavored? We’ve gotta try it.

Jerome Bettis Grille 36

It’s owned by Jerome Bettis himself, need we say more? This place gets crowded during home games so get there early. 5 for $17 Domestic Buckets all day every day. Be sure to check back for new game day deals.

Spirit

This Lawrenceville pizza joint will have the games showing on a big projection screen! They’ll also be having a game day brunch Jan. 8th from 11am-3pm. $13 per person, $6 for kids ages 12-2, free for kids under 2.

Southern Tier Brewing Co.

This North Shore Spot has tons of food, beer & Tv’s for you to be glued to. Plus if you’re looking to be a basic betch, they have a Pumpking Coffee beer that’s to die for.
